YWCA Makes Changes

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)The YWCA is closing its early learning program.

According to the Capital Journal Joyce Martin, CEO of the Topeka YWCA, said it was a difficult decision and that a lack of resources as well as a decline in enrollment were among the reasons for ending the program.

In addition, the learning center didn't receive any funding from the United Way in 2012. They received $75,000 from the United Way in 2011.

There were about 20 families currently using the early learning program.
