TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers say the construction worker killed on I-470 earlier this month, was outside the cones when he was hit.

Curtis Harlan, 22, of Arma, was killed on impact the morning of August 5th, when he was hit by a car, driven by Kyle Snider, 41, of Topeka.

Troopers say evidence shows Harlan was riding a piece of machinery in the construction area, when he apparently backed into a portion of the driving lane, and was hit.

Possible charges in the case have not been determined. Troopers say they're still investigation, and doing follow-ups in the case.
