RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are investigating a rape that was reported Thursday.
Few very details are being released by authorities.
Officials say alleged sexual assault happened in the northeast section of Manhattan on Thursday, June 28, 2012. The victim, a woman in her 40s, reported the incident to police the same day.
Lieutenant Steve Boyda with the Riley County Police Department told reporters Friday that the victim and suspect know each other.
The woman did not require medical attention for any injuries, according to police.
The incident remains under investigation. An arrest has not yet been made.
