MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Riley County Police Department is investigating a sexual assault after woman reported that she was raped over the weekend.
Few details are being released because of the nature of the case. Officials say a woman in her 20s reported the alleged assault on Sunday, July 15th.
According to police, the incident occurred Sunday in the northwest portion of Manhattan but further specifics are not available.
Lieutenant Steve Boyda with the Riley County Police Department says the suspect and victim know each other.
An arrest has not yet been made. The rape remains under investigation.
