Woman Arrested In Connection With Stolen Checks

HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested Danielle Shekera Beechum, 30, of Holton in connection with two incidents where stolen checks were used at local businesses.

The sheriff's office received a report from a citizen that they were the victim of the theft of checks. On February 15th, a check had been allegedly passed at Trail's Cafe in Holton. On February 17th, a second check was allegedly passed at Jhett's Pizza in Holton.

On February 18th, Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Beechum at her residence in Holton. She is being held in the custody of the Jackson County Sheriff on the following charges: Identity Theft, 2 counts of Forgery, and Possession of Stolen Property.

Bond was set at $20,000. The Holton Police Department assisted with the investigation.
