WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Wichita police and the local Crime Stoppers group have doubled the reward for tips leading to an arrest in a double homicide nearly four years ago.

KWCH-TV reports the $2,000 offer is part of a campaign begun in October to solve cold cases in the city.

Sixty-six-year-old Keo Intavong and 22-year-old Jeffrey Chitanavong were killed on Jan. 24, 2009, in a drive-by shooting that also injured more than a dozen others.

The victims were among more than 50 people gathered outside a home for the last event in a nine-day Laotian wake. Police said at the time they suspected the shooters were targeting the son of the woman being mourned.

Wichita Crime Stoppers head Gordon Bassham says the cold-case initiative has brought in tips on three cases so far.
