(KAKE)-- A 13-year-old boy and his mother were arrested over the weekend after shots were fired at a northeast Wichita home.
According to Wichita Police, officers responded to a shots fired call in the 2500 block of North Poplar around 3 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found several people on scene, including a 13-year-old with a gun. He was taken into custody for carrying a concealed weapon.
His mother told police that she fired the shots, then told her son to take the gun into the house. Officers then arrested her for child endangerment.
Police also took a three-year-old and a nine-year-old into protective custody. No one was hurt.
