TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Westar Energy is working to show Topeka youth the opportunities and challenges the come with being part of a larger company.
Westar is partnering with Youth Entrepreneurs and Topeka Public Schools to bring nine students the educational program. The students attended classes and took field trips to get a real world experience of what it takes to be part of a larger corporation.
The students then presented what they have learned during a Friday ceremony. The presentations were critiqued by community professionals.
