West Ridge Mall Was Host To The Prom Fashion And Expo Event

Operation Prom was originally established in New York to help low-income, sick or disabled students attend their Proms by providing free Prom dresses and tuxedo rentals. It is now a national organization that helps thousands of girls around the country who demonstrate financial need and are in good academic standing.

Noel D�Allacco, the founder and executive director of Operation Prom, started the not-for-profit after she began collecting bridesmaid dresses from clients and donating them to students from her high school.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Tuxedos and gowns were the main attractions today at the prom fashion show at West Ridge Mall.

Prom goers came out today to see the latest trends at the Prom Fashion Show and Expo. The event was held from 1 P.M.to 4 P.M. and was sponsored by Island Tan South.

The show featured all local models from the Topeka area showing off the latest prom trends for 2013. Dillard's and Deb provided the looks that the models showed off today and Mac beauty was also on hand to help participants with make-up tips.
