TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Christmas is still five months away, but Santa Claus came out of hiding Wednesday at a Topeka business with a gift for the Topeka Rescue Mission.

Wells Fargo Advisors wrapped up its "Christmas in July" campaign, the finale of its drive to collect blue jeans. Jolly Saint Nick stopped in to share ice cream treats with staff and guests.

Wells Fargo has spent the past month collecting new and gently used jeans to benefit the Topeka Rescue Mission. Mission executive director Barry Feaker was presented with a pair of jeans missing one leg, to represent the work left to be done.

Wells Fargo has a goal to collect 4,444 pairs of jeans this year. Organizers say they are about halfway there.

Donations will be collected again in December.
