TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__Washburn Tech was serving up a taste of Mexico to the public.
The Culinary Department held a mexican feast Thursday night featuring tamales, spanish rice, homemade tortillas and salsa. All which were made from scratch.
They held the event as a fundraiser and to promote the Skills USA competition in Kansas City. Skills USA is a partnership with the industries that teaches students about leadership and competition.
Culinary is just one aspect of the competition.
