TOPEKA, Kan. WIBW)-- A Tuesday morning storm caused problems for commuters and residents alike.
Shawnee County Dispatch told 13 News that traffic lights along Fairlawn at Huntoon, 15th street, and 10th street were all out due to a power outage Tuesday morning.
Dispatch reminded drivers to treat intersections as 4-way stops until power is restored.
Washburn Tech, located at 5724 SW Huntoon, was expected to be without power for as many as two hours. The lights were back on by 9:30 a.m.
Westar Energy's website said there were more than 1700 Shawnee County Customers without power as of 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
