Washburn Rural Middle School Students Learn About Native American Culture

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Students learned about Native American folklore and dance Monday morning.

Dennis Rogers spoke to the 7th grade class at Washburn Rural Middle School. Rogers was dressed in traditional attire and demonstrated traditional dance steps and music.

Rogers has performed at many festivals and pow wows and has won many national and international awards for his talks and dances.

November is Native American Culture Awareness Month.
