TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Washburn Alum had the chance to share stories of hope with fellow Ichabods.
Barry Feaker, Director of the Topeka Rescue Mission told Washburn students about his work with people who are homeless and poor, and those who care for them.
He writes about it in his new book, "In Darkness, A Light Still Shines".
Feaker wanted to bring awareness to the Topeka Rescue Mission and help Washburn students understand homelessness a little better.
He said putting his stories in writing has brought interest to his mission, and might encourage someone to follow in his footsteps.
Feaker's book will be available at the Washburn University Bookstore.
