TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--Parents of third graders were invited to Wanamaker Elementary for an author's tea.
Students wrote and illustrated their own story based on "Ten Black Dots," a counting book by Donald Crews.
On Friday the students shared their stories with classmates and parents.
After all that reading, the amateur authors and their guests could grab a snack and a drink.
