Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - A major street in Topeka is getting ready to close completely for 36 hours.
Beginning this Monday at 7 a.m., Wanamaker Road from 21st to 29th street will be closed to all traffic.
It will reopen to all lanes on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Crews will be doing final overlays of the street.
In case of adverse weather, the entire closure will shift in schedule to accommodate the 36 hour closure without interruption to Tuesday and Wednesday.
25th street will be open to east-west traffic from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. only. Manor Care Retirement Community can be accessed from 25th St. coming from the west during daytime hours.
