TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Wamego football player nominated for the 2012 High School Football Rudy Award is moving on in the competition, but he still needs your help.
The Rudy awards are designed to honor division one football players who brought a little "something extra" to the team.
James Manning is now in the final 50 in the contest. You may remember hearing his story on 13 News before, Manning fought through testicular cancer.
When doctors told him he wouldn't suit up this season, his senior year, he went through two surgeries and was back on the field.
You can continue voting for Manning at www.highschoolrudyawards.com.
This week is the semi finals and a winner will be announced in February.
