TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A traveling museum will allow Topekans to experience the sights and sounds of World War I.
American Legion riders escorted the "Honoring Our History Tour" into Topeka Monday. The Museum of the Kansas National Guard at Forbes Field will be the 50th stop.
Visitors can experience the tight conditions of trench warfare as well as see the tools, weapons, uniforms, and equipment that the soldiers used during the war.
The event is free. It will be open from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday at the Museum of the Kansas National Guard's parking lot.
