TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Today was the perfect day to get out of the house and make some moves around Topeka.
The Wellness Information Network (WIN) wants to help Topekans achieve a healthy lifestyle with exercise, even if its just walking.
Makin' moves is a health initiative created to inspire people to stop making excuses and start making moves.
It is a six week structured walking program that began this morning at the Fairlawn Plaza Mall.
More than 85 people participated in a stretch and a walk around the mall. Which got everyone's blood pumping. The organization partners with the Kansas Department of Health and offers other activities such as cooking and exercise classes.
