WIBW Assault Suspect To Undergo Psychiatric Exam

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The man accused of breaking into WIBW-TV and stabbing two employees will undergo a psychiatric examination.

Court records indicate orders were filed to evaluate Ray Miles competency.

The 48-year old faces charges including aggravated battery, criminal threat and battery for the May 23 incident.

Surveillence video shows him throwing a lamp through a front glass door and physically confronting workers before they tackled him.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 12.
