TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__Gage Park's Big Shelter House hosted an awards dinner Tuesday and WIBW Allstars were among those celebrated.
9 softball teams, comprised of players with special needs, got together to celebrate their teammates and the accomplishments they made during the season.
WIBW's Eric Ives and his team (WIBW Allstars) attended to chow down on some hot dogs and cheer one another on with some awards.
Medals were given to the players who earned titles such as most valuable player and best sportsmanship.
Shawnee County Parks And Rec puts together the special needs softball teams every summer. The season started in May and came to a close a few weeks ago.
