TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__After suffering a series of devastating events, volunteers and supporters are rallying around one family who needs it the most.
The Kelsey family lost their baby just six days after birth, then shortly after, the mother suffered a stroke.
Since their home is not wheelchair friendly they will have to put it on the market. Volunteers have reached out to help get the home ready for sale. Friends and family spent the day Saturday painting the inside of the Kelsey family's old home in order to get it show worthy.
The response to volunteer support has been so overwhelming that they may have to turn people away. One family friend says that is a great feeling to have.
They will start construction on the deck of the family's new house on October 27th.
