Victims Of Separate Home Invasions Related

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Detectives say there may be a connection to two home invasions that happened Tuesday night.

Topeka police say they were called to the first home invasion at 5843 SW Candletree at about 8:00 p.m. While following up on leads, detectives became aware of another home invasion that happened at 11:30 p.m. at 1600 SW 6th Street. The victims in the home invasions are related.

The victims told police that two people armed with hand guns, forced entry into the apartments, threatened them, then took things from both residences.

Police say one of the suspects has been identified and detectives are currently following up on additional leads.
