TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - For the second time in three days, a Topeka business took a hit from a vehicle.
This time it was the former Flint Hills BBQ location at SW 29th and Topeka Blvd. It happened around 2 pm Friday.
Topeka Police say the driver became distracted by a homeless man holding up a sign near the building and drove her vehicle through the storefront. It ended up in the middle of what was the business' dining area.
Neither the driver nor her passenger was injured.
The homeless man was treated at the scene for an eye injury from flying glass, then taken to the hospital as a precaution.
On Wednesday, a driver confused the brake and gas pedals and put her vehicle into a liquor store near SW 29th and Gage. She was headed to a hair appointment next door.
