TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A central Topeka neighborhood got a whole lot busier Thursday!

This is 'Welcome Week' at Washburn University.

New and returning Ichabods settled into their homes for the school year Thursday.

Staff, volunteers and of course Washburn President Dr. Jerry Farley joined the "move crew" at the living center to help students move into their campus homes.

Farley said this is a great time for everyone to lend a hand.

Welcome week on the Washburn campus will run through Monday.

Students begin moving into Emporia State residence halls Friday.
