TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- An accident at US Highway 24 and K-4 created quite a traffic mess Sunday afternoon (5/6).
It happened at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday. Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies say the collision blocked the east and westbound lanes.
Authorities say a red Chevy pickup was merging onto K-4 south from U.S. 24 when the driver sideswiped a white Volkswagon Jetta.
Both highways were reopened a short time later.
Officials say no major injuries were reported.
