Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - A two-part reconstruction project will begin Monday on a 5 mile section of US-75 from Sabetha to the Kansas-Nebraska state line in Brown/Nemaha counties.
Project work includes shoulder reconstruction, culvert box and pipe extensions, bridge replacement and concrete surfacing of mainline lanes and shoulders.
Work beginning Monday will take place off mainline US-75 with little to no traffic impacts through late fall 2012. Crews will be working to complete the culvert box and pipe extensions, construction of the shoofly and grading for the new extended shoulders.
Work will take place during daylight hours Monday through Friday, with some work occasionally on Saturday's.
The overall work is expected to be complete in October of 2013.
