TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police arrested a man Friday morning after he and a passenger fled from a stolen car.
Police began their investigation of a carjacking Thursday night. A silver BMW was reported taken from the 2800 block of Fairlawn around 9 P.M.
At 2:26 A.M. Friday, officers located the stolen BMW and attempted to pull it over. The driver, police say, initiated a pursuit. The two people inside the car bailed in the 1800 block of SW Lane.
Officers quickly set up a perimeter in the area. They arrested the driver, Kajun Brock, 22, at 19th and Washburn. A K-9 unit located the passenger, Melissa Croner, 41, hiding under a truck east of the suspect car.
Both were taken to the Law Enforcement Center for Detectives to interview. Brock was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on multiple felony charges.
