Two Arrested After Overnight Chase

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two people were arrested after leading police on car chase in central Topeka Thursday night.

James Crawford, 34, and Megan Hines, 20, were taken into custody after leading police on a chase that ended when they crashed their vehicle in front of a home in the 1000 block of Western.

Both subjects fled the scene on foot but were quickly caught by officers.

Officers discovered the truck they were driving had been stolen out of Oklahoma.

Crawford was on Northeast Kansas' most wanted list and Hines was found to be listed as an escapee from Shawnee County Department of Corrections.

Both subjects are being charged with crimes related to the stolen truck and the pursuit.
