Two Bridges To Be Named After Two Vietnam Veterans

MARYSVILLE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two bridges in Marshall County will be named after two local veterans who gave their lives in the Vietnam War.

The Kansas Department of Transportation invites the public to see the double sign unveiling of the the Sergeant Joseph A. Zutterman, Jr. and Specialist Michael T. Martin memoral bridges.

The bridges are on U.S. 36 and U.S. 77 near Marysville.

Both young men were U.S. military veterans who died during the Vietnam War.

The unveiling is at Marysville City Hall, May 20 at 1 p.m., located at 209 N. 8th Street.

Speakers include: KDOT Secretary Mike King, Kansas Representative Sharon Schwartz, Marshall County Commission Chair Robert Connell and City of Marysville Mayor Bill Phillipi.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Marysville American Legion Auxiliary Post #163.
