TOPEKA, Kan. -- Shawnee County Parks and Recreation will host the 4th Annual Tulip Time, continuing a longtime Topeka tradition started by Jerold Binkley.

Our mild winter and recent warm temperatures moved the starting date up to Saturday, March 24. The festival will run approximately three weeks.

Visitors can enjoy the splendor of over 100,000 tulips and daffodils in the beautifully, landscaped parks in the Ted Ensley Gardens at Lake Shawnee, SE 37th and West Edge Road; Doran Rock Garden at Gage Park, 601 SW Gage Blvd; Botanical Garden at Old Prairie Town, 124 NW Fillmore. Tours of the historic buildings are also available at Old Prairie Town.
