(WIBW) - A trucker who led deputies on a chase through three counties will spend nearly three years behind bars.
Robert Smith was sentenced Thursday in Pottawatomie County Court to 32 months in prison. He originally faced 11 counts, including attempted second degree murder, but pleaded no contest last month to a reduced charge of attempted aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer and aggravated battery.
Four people were injured last October in the chase that started in Shawnee County and ended north of Wamego.
