TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Jury trials have been scheduled for three of
four adults charged in the shooting death of a Topeka lawyer.
Natalie Gibson, who had worked at the Kansas Judicial Center,
was shot in her driveway July 21. Another woman she was with was
injured in the shooting.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/rBhSip) that
Kevin Wilkins Jr. of Topeka is scheduled for trial Jan. 17 in
Shawnee County District Court. Ronald Wakes, also of Topeka, is
scheduled for trial April 30. Michael D. Wilkins, of Olathe, is
scheduled for trial Feb. 13.
They're charged with first-degree murder and several other
charges. Another adult, Anceo Stovall, of Topeka, is also charged
in the death. Stovall is to be arraigned Wednesday.
Four juveniles are also charged in the case.
