HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) - A trial date is set for the man accused of murdering a Mayetta man in January.

Lloyd Wabaunsee pleaded not guilty during arraignment Friday in Jackson County District Court. He's charged in the fatal shooting of Kevin Stanley.

Authorities say Wabaunsee then fled the state with three other people. Wabaunsee, Desiree Shopteese, Aaron Lofton and Rachel Hudson were taken into custody a week later near Des Moines, Iowa. A fifth suspect, Steven Eastman, was arrested in February, accused of driving Wabaunsee and Shopteese the night of the murder.

Wabaunsee's jury trial will be November 18th through 22nd. He remains jailed on $500,000 bond.
