TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Emergency crews were called to Gary Ormsby Drive and Topeka Boulevard Wednesday after a train hit a semi.
The accident happened before 10:30 a.m. and involved a BNSF train and semi tractor trailer owned by Royal Logistics, according to information released by the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office.
The truck was stopped at the intersection of SW Gary Ormsby Drive and South 75 Highway. The train approached from the south, striking the truck.
Crews on scene reported that the driver of the truck and two train crew members were not injured.
The trailer was full of pasta being delivered to Forebes Field Industrial Park.
Investigators remained on scene Wednesday morning.
