Police: Man Hit, Killed By Train In Topeka Committed Suicide

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The man who was struck and killed by a train in southwest Topeka early Wednesday morning committed suicide, according to the Topeka Police Dept.

Emergency crews were called to the spot where it happened, near the intersection of 21st St. and Lakewood, around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

They are not releasing his name because the death was ruled a suicide.
