Tractor-Pickup Collision Seriously Injures Oskaloosa Woman

PERRY, Kan. (WIBW) - An Oskaloosa woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday when her pickup collided with a tractor pulling a cultivator.

It happened around 3:30 pm on Highway 24. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the tractor's driver, 56-year old Edward Clare, Jr. of Meriden, was southbound on K-237 and crossing 24 to Bridge Rd. The location is about four miles west of Perry. KHP says Clare did not yield to an oncoming eastbound Dodge Ram, hitting it in the driver's side.

The truck's driver, 54-year old Connie Miller of Oskaloosa, was flown to KU Medical Center with injuries classified as disabling. KHP says it was not clear if she was wearing a seatbelt.
