TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Topekans got their groove on for their health earlier Saturday.
St. Francis Health Center hosted a "Day of Dance for Your Health" at Washburn University.
Day of Dance is an 8-year-old national program created by the Spirit of Women Hospital Network.
Community members got their heart rates up to a variety of music including rock n' roll, ballroom and jazz. It is said that dancing can burn 200 to 400 calories per hour.
There were also a variety of booths that attendees could visit to learn more about health or become involved in other activities.
