Topekans Run To Help Those In Need

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ Runners got set and took their marks to raise money for those in need Saturday.

The 8th annual Miracle on Kansas Avenue Rescue Run kicked off with the top 100 runners competing in the Invitational Championship.

The traditional run/walk started at 5p.m.with runners and walkers strutting their brightly lit attire to help raise money for the Topeka Rescue Mission.

The Mission provides shelter, food, clothing, training and hope to those in need and has been serving the community of Topeka for over 60 years.
