TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)_ Topekans are supporting families who are still suffering from Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines which killed thousands of people.
Families and friends of victims of the Typhoon gathered Saturday night at 3201 Randolph Ave at Misty Glen Apartments in Clubhouse 1 to sell baked goods (like the reindeer decorated cupcakes pictured here), Filipino desserts and auction items to help raise money for people suffering in Tacloban, Philippines.
They are hoping the community can continue to help raise money to help provide food, water and a place to sleep for those in Tacloban.
" We need to help them out, they may die and we need to rebuild their lives again," said Jocelyn
