TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-Topekans threw a fast pitch to help raise money for the less fortunate.
Volunteers played in the second annual softball tournament at
Felker Ball Diamonds to support Harvesters: The Community Food Network.
It cost $150 for a team of 10-12 and $140 if every team member brought canned items to support Harvesters.
The Topeka community was also invited from 9-3 p.m. Saturday to drop off canned goods.
Organizers say last year the community donated 457 pounds and they are hoping to exceed that goal this year.
