TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Some residents bit off a little more than they could chew Saturday at the Shawnee County Fair.
The Porubsky's pickle eating contest got participants excited and others... just downing water.
The 4-H queen tested her tastebuds for the kids competition. The adult competition was a different story, though as the pickles proved too hot to handle.
One man could not handle the heat and spit them out after the third bite.
Warren Roberts took first place in the adult competition and David Hollingsworth took first in the kids competition.
The kids, of course, did not eat the hot rude pickles.
