Topeka Police Looking for New Recruits

FROM TOPEKA POLICE -- The Topeka Police Department is looking to recruit volunteer Reserve Officers!

To become a Reserve Officer, a man or woman must be at least 21 years of age, and must be able to meet the requirements of full time police officers. Those with questions about the program are invited to come to an informational meeting at 7:00pm Thursday, May 5th at the Law Enforcement Center, 320 S. Kansas Avenue in downtown Topeka.

Testing for full-time and reserve officers will begin at 7:30 the morning of Friday, May 20th. It'll be conducted at police headquarters. There's another sessions at 1:00 that afternoon, at the Oakland Community Center, 801 N.E. Poplar.
