Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka motocross track near Tecumseh wrapped up it's only event of the year Monday.

Earlier this month, Shawnee County Commissioners voted down a conditional use permit for Big Springs Recreation Area at 37th and Woodring.

It would have allowed more than a dozen events to be held in a year but neighbors opposed it for noise and traffic reasons.

They can only host one event a year.

An estimated 450 people attended the races over the weekend which donated proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.
