Topeka Man Sentenced After Assaulting Insurance Worker

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man has been sentenced for assaulting a Farmers Insurance employee last November.

64 year old Clarence Rodgers will spend 15 years and five months in jail.

Police say an employee of the Farmers Insurance business on SW 29 was robbed at gunpoint and struggled with the suspect.

A gun went off during the altercation, but no one was hit by the bullet.
