A Topeka man will stand trial on charges of premeditated first degree murder and attempted premeditated first degree murder.
Marshall Stewart IV's trial will begin on May 14.
Stewart is charged with killing 29-year-old Stephen Coen and injuring 21-year-old Oliver Evans.
Both were found in a car that hit a tree in the Meadowood mobile home neighborhood on December 18.
The defense claims Stewart fired shots in defense of a friend.
