Topeka Has A New Christmas Tree
The Bishops on North 94th gave their 27 foot Colorado Blue Spruce up to be the next Christmas Tree to be displayed in Downtown Topeka.
Westar Energy was on hand with their equipment to safely cut and lower the tree on to a flat bed trailer.
Joyce Bishop asked that when being decorated, that a pink bow be placed on the tree in memory of those with breast cancer. Joyce had breast cancer earlier this year.
The tree will be lit on November 27 at 5:30pm at the 800 block of Kansas Avenue. The Christmas parade will follow there after at 6:00.
