Topeka Firefighters Take To Streets To Help MDA
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka firefighters took to the streets Friday, collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Firefighters from IAFF Local #83 posted up at several intersections throughout the city, boots in hand, collecting donations from passing motorists.
They will be out again from 9 am to noon, and again from 1 to 4 pm Saturday.
Topeka firefighters usually do the boot block in August, but they moved it earlier this year, hoping to beat the heat.
