TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-A local organization's budget plan may not hurt tax payer's pocket books for 2014.
The Topeka Zoo presented its annual budget presentation at the City of Topeka meeting in the Law Enforcement Center Saturday.
Zoo Director, Brendan Wiley, says they hope to bring more guests from outside the community to bolster sales tax for the Zoo.
He also says the budget isn't too different compared to 2013 and that they are not asking for an increase in budget compared to 2013.
In 2013, the Zoo's budget was $2, 419,270 as opposed to the 2014 budget of $2,427,682.
