TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__Saturday marked the grand opening of the Capital City Bank Tree Top Conservation Center at the Topeka Zoo.

The Topeka Zoo held a ribbon cutting event in the Discovering Apes building.

The Tree Top Conservation Center is part of the zoo's ongoing conservation efforts. It enables guests to see a heavily wooded jungle, African artifacts, a ranger station and sparkling waterfall.

Zoo officials say it's made possible by Capital City Bank that donated nearly 25 grand for the project.

Their President and CEO Bob Kobbeman says it's a great highlight for zoo visitors.

The Tree Top Conservation Center is open during regular Topeka Zoo business hours.
